I have been blessed being involved in the outdoor industry since the early 2000s. I have traveled the world extensively searching for the ultimate hunting and fishing destinations. Over the years, I developed a true passion for fishing the emerald green waters of the Texas gulf coast to the Keys. However, there is one slight problem...I live in the snowy cold North East. Meaning the warm sunshine, salt water, and palm trees of the south were always a plane ride away. This forced me to leave my favorite fishing rods at home. Salty Dog Fishing Rods was born out of necessity (and a double dog dare at a campfire) to offer a damn good travel fishing rod to some great people for their next trip…the rest as they say is history. Salty Dog Fishing Rods are three piece fishing rods specifically designed for the discerning traveling angler on your next destination fishing trip. We offer spinning and casting configurations perfect for chasing down Reds, Speckled Trout, Snook, Permit, and Bone Fish just to name a few…. : ) Since the very beginning with Salty Dog Fishing Rods we pride ourselves on only using the highest quality rod components. We manufacture all of our rods in small batch runs (quality takes time) like a fine bourbon, we thoroughly infuse them with country music and good old American pride. Most importantly all of our rods are proudly assembled in the USA!

No rod warranty is expressed or implied. If a rod fails within the first year of purchase under normal conditions a $50 credit* will be applied towards the purchase of a new Salty Dog Fishing Rod.

*credits will not be issued for breakage due to angler negligence (car doors, ceiling fan, tailgate, etc breakages)
